Midwest possible flooding next week

As mentioned yesterday, next week will bring another round of storms to the local area by mid week. One thing it will not bring, the threat of flooding to the local area. While locally we could use the rain [ I expect another dry summer ], we sure don't need the amounts forecast for the areas shown here. Some of these areas could see 10 inches.

As you can see in the image below, there is a chance for flooding in Mississippi as well.

I'll be watching this system for impacts on the local area as it develops. It's still looking to be a strong one.
