Severe weather hasn't made it to the area ... yet. I don't know if / when the system makes it here, it'll have enough energy to go severe later tonight. The system was capped off today due to temperature inversion. To much warm air already aloft in the upper atmosphere. Yesterday I thought by this time the severe weather would be popping. We were earlier today under a severe thunderstorm watch, albeit very shot lived.
At this time you can see it is still well Northwest of the area. Snapshot time 0028 UTC or 8:28 PM EDT.
To our west they have had another day of large hail and tornadoes. Tonight I expect isolated showers and maybe a thunderstorm. Tomorrow may yet bring isolated severe weather to the area, we'll have to wait and see.
