Georgia / Alabama Potential Severe Storms Weds/Thurs April 4/5 2012

Biggest threats will be Straight line winds and hail. Small chance of a Tornado can't be ruled out. Threw that in as some data supports it.

At this point I'm not sure which model or sounding to trust. It seems the model madness through this past winter is carrying over into spring. While this may be, I do believe as mentioned there will be some potential for strong to severe storms on Thursday. Things may begin to fire as early as the early AM hours Thursday. Depending on early precipitation and cloud cover, this will determine if the storms continue through the day, and how strong some may be.

I'll have a better idea on the what, when and where tomorrow Wednesday April 4 2012.

Image below: Significant Tornado Parameter for 5 AM EDT Thursday Morning. The local Columbus GA. / Phenix City AL. area is at a 1, [small chance].
